Mrs. Lester M. Crouse [Flora Lelia]
Funeral service for Mrs. Lester M. Crouse, 85, who died at home on Route 4 Saturday morning, was conducted at Shallow Ford Christian Church at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Officiating ministers were Rev. Kenneth Register, pastor of the Union Ridge Christian Church, Rev. G. W. Swinney, pastor of Glenhope Baptist Church, and Rev. Coy Thompson, pastor of Glen Raven Baptist Church.
Music was provided by the Glenhope Duet, the Glen Raven Baptist Church Trio, and a duet by Mrs. Emma Godwin, and Mrs. Kenneth Register.
Pallbearers were Boyd Gerringer, Everette Gerringer, L. D. Gerringer, Jr., Clyde Tickle, Dwight Tickle, and J. B. Tickle, Jr.
Honorary pall bearers were Baxter Tickle, H. P. Tickle, Willie Lowe, Claud Cable, I. C. Wheeley, Ervin Walker, Lester Loy, Clifton Truitt, J. J. Isley, and E. Blanchard.
Mrs. Ethel Cable and Mrs. Erma Goodwin were in charge of floral arrangements, assisted by Mesdames Eva Wyrick, Blonda Parker, Lorena Horner, Dale Crenshaw, Beulah Stone, Mamie Tickle, Nellie Huey, Iris Huey, Myrtle Hawkins, Vera Page, Virginia Gerringer, Beulah Tickle, Dot Register, Mae Smith, Bettie Lou Simpson, Mamie Kernodle, Joyce Wright, H. G. Drake, Ollie Cable, Fannie Gerringer, Bill Smith, Sr., J. T. Allred, Oliva Crutchfield, and Misses Shirley Gerringer, Ruth Gerringer, Kay Cable, Yvonne Wyrick, Dixie Smith, Fay Tickle, and Raune Tickle.
